Bankruptcy Is Becoming An Option Most People Can No Longer Ignore

As today's economy continues to spiral out of control and with more and more news about the government stepping in to bail out banks and lenders, many people have found themselves way too far in debt and are facing nor real answers to get out of it. Filing bankruptcy has always kind of been looked at as a last resort, but in today's climate, you should really take a look to see if filing bankruptcy is a viable option for you before mistakes are made that can wreck your chances at getting the fresh start your deserve.

There are many rumours and myths out there about bankruptcy and most of them are promoted by the credit industry, collection agencies and, unfortunately, family and friends. I like to call these "OPO" or Other People's Opinions. It is very dangerous to rely on OPO's. As with any legal case, the outcome will ultimately be decided based on the facts of that case. Not on the facts of Cousin Joe's or Aunt Rita's. The facts of their case may very well have resulted in them having to give back most of their property and, with that, the OPO was passed along that if you file bankruptcy, you will lose everything you have. Lenders and banks like to build on that fear and use it to their advantage to keep you from finding out the truth about the bankruptcy process.

Because of all of this, I recently wrote a book called "7 Critical Mistakes to Avoid Dismissal of Your Bankruptcy Case" so you would have the facts about the bankruptcy process and how it will affect your life. This book covers the top 15 myths you will continue to hear about why bankruptcy is so bad and, more importantly, why they are not true. These books are provided free of charge to anyone in Missouri and Illinois that would like a copy.

There are different types of bankruptcy that may better be suited for you depending on your personal situation. The most important step for you is to find out all of your options and discuss your situation with an experienced bankruptcy attorney. Better yet, request a copy of my free book and don't speak to any creditor or attorney until you have taken the time to read it. It could be the most important decision you will make.
