Why Bankruptcy is not the End of the World | Wentzville Missouri Bankruptcy Attorney

Many people who are thinking “Should I file bankruptcy?” have a lot of very specific questions. Will I automatically lose my house in a Missouri Chapter 7? Can my Chapter 13 be removed from my credit report in Illinois? Does a divorce decree protect me if my ex-spouse files bankruptcy?

Sometimes you just want to see the big picture. Sometimes you just want to know: Is filing Bankruptcy in Missouri or Illinois the end of the world?

The answer to that question is truly a matter of opinion, but in my opinion, bankruptcy isn’t an end at all. It’s a beginning. I think a lot of people who have filed Missouri or Illinois bankruptcy would agree.
In fact, I’ve never heard an opinion to the contrary.

After filing bankruptcy myself in law school, I was finally able to follow my dream to become the best bankruptcy attorney in St. Louis. I couldn’t have reached my goal without first getting rid of my debts and taking care of my family. I needed a fresh start.

Keep in mind, it’s all up to you. If you don’t need help with your credit card debt or medical expenses, don’t want creditors to stop harassing you and your family, and don’t care about a wage garnishment taking part of your paycheck, than perhaps bankruptcy isn’t want you need.

But, if you want to protect your family from foreclosure, get credit card debt help, and start taking the stress of debt out of your life then Missouri or Illinois bankruptcy just could be the beginning of a great life.

Remember, doing nothing changes nothing. Allowing yourself to stay under crushing amounts of debt certainly isn’t going to be a new beginning for you. So, is it filing bankruptcy or not filing bankruptcy that is truly the end of the world?
